Position Description

The role of the Product Specialist within the English Assessment team is to contribute to and enable the commercialisation and go-to-market of Proficiency assessment products. The product specialist works closely with the product management team to bring new products to market, support existing products through training, and project manage new initiatives to meet customer needs. This is a global role and will be expected to influence across teams and geographies, work in virtual teams, and drive projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and design go-to-market plans, presentation of plans to stakeholders and implementation of plans in collaboration with the geographies.

  • Develop sales enablement tools and internal training materials for assessment products. Be the first line of escalation support for the geo sales teams. Drive assessment and product literacy by conducting training for global sales teams.

  • Ensure appropriate governance of, strategy for and reporting of specific Proficiency test products. Disseminate data and share insights with the wider team.

  • Partner with the product manager to bring new products to market. Identify and implement innovation through new and existing products in the portfolio. Drive analysis and requirements for products to support specific learner and teacher needs in target Geos.

  • Be a product champion and provide insight to inform strategy and product development. Help conduct customer and competitor research.

  • Coordinate communication and translation of technical/operational issues and fixes between technical/operational teams, Geographies and product.

Competencies and experience:

  • Experience of product management and execution to achieve results

  • Able to simplify complex challenges and propose solutions

  • Agility, flexibility and resiliency, able to adapt to a changing environment

  • A good team player, collaborative and inclusive

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Able to grasp content, platforms, and technology development in an educational environment and communicate its benefits

  • Responsible and ownership for key deliverables

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Masters degree, ideally business related subject

  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in a product or project management role

  • Experience working in education or teaching environment a plus
