Main Purpose:

This role requires a UK curriculum expert to support our account managers as they promote our

print and digital solutions into schools across the region, as well as conducting product training and

professional development support for UK curriculum teachers.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Training & Support

  • Deliver professional development training to support the embedding and implementation of

  • Pearson products and services,

  • Partner with schools in the learning design process to make the best use of available teaching

  • methods and the best uses of Pearson resources to enhance student learning

  • Represent Pearson at conferences, seminars and workshops where required (including giving presentations).

  • Drive and support pilots of key new products and services as appropriate.

  • Schedule and host user evaluation meetings with customers around usage, performance measurement and identifying additional training requirements

  • Maintain excellent content and functionality knowledge around the full range of products and services the business provides; including new resources, standards and curricula, digital tools, and learning management systems

  • Understand the wider regional and global education environment, keep abreast of the latest trends and policy changes in the UK with regard to curriculum, and feedback to key stakeholders internally on the competitive landscape.

Field Sales & Partner Support

  • Represent Pearson as a UK curriculum subject matter expert at local events and in sales

  • conversations to directly drive new adoptions of Pearson series, plus support the retention

  • of existing business.

  • In conjunction with marketing colleagues, organise authors to visit the region for professional development opportunities.

  • Run periodic and annual product training (face-to-face and virtual) for sales teams (including distributor partners where appropriate) on key product features, customer profiles, key

  • messages, successful implementation examples, and relevant education trends andresearch.

  • Support marketing by organizing and facilitating UK curriculum user groups to support classroom teachers with Pearson digital products and subject pedagogy.

Portfolio Support

  • Support the Head of Product, sales and marketing teams, and Service Delivery colleagues,with back-office tasks relating to the UK portfolio

  • Build relationships and work closely with colleagues in the Global Product Organisation to ensure we have the best possible frontlist for growth, including proactively planning for pilots and regional testing of new digital platforms and solutions as appropriate.

  • Monitor and report on sales at course / product level on a monthly basis.

  • Categorise titles and products for growth, sustaining and retirement.

Qualifications

Competencies, Skills & Training

Essential:

  • Minimum five years’ UK curriculum teaching experience

  • Experience of successfully training other teachers on aspects of UK curriculum pedagogy,

  • e/blended learning and/or how to use specific products

  • Experience of using technology in a school environment and developing learning strategies to drive outcomes

  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams in a complex organisation

  • Good understanding of Pearson’s products and services for the Middle East market

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a global and changing business

  • environment

  • Ability to travel around the region as required

  • Confident and able networker with an ability to form trusted relationships plus influence and lead at all levels, often in virtual teams

  • Very strong presentation, communication and influencing skills

  • Driven, highly motivated and independent worker

  • Commercial awareness

  • Strong organisational and planning skills

  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively

  • Bachelor’s degree

Desirable:

  • Arabic proficiency

  • Sales experience (in the education sector)

  • Marketing experience (in the education sector)
